Anders Banke (b. 1971) graduated 2002 as a saxophone and clarinet player from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, Denmark. His playing has been acclaimed for it's singing and refined tone and wholeheartedness. He plays in a wide variety of groups from the Danish jazzscene, including Spring, Mark Solborg 4, Pasborg’s Odessa 5, Pierre Dørge & New Jungle Orchestra, moLd and Copenhagen Art Ensemble to name a few. Anders appears on more than 50 albums as a musician, composer and arranger, and has worked with the likes of Django Bates, John Tchicai, Herb Robertson and Jim Black as well as Egberto Gismonti and Indian flute maestro Shashank Subramanyam.
